This is how the glass nebulizing piece works:
Air comes in through the tube attached to the pump. The air (white in picture) is pushed into the glass chamber through the tiny tube which creates pressure in the chamber. The pressure pulls the oils that are resting in the base of the glass up into the other tiny tube (yellow in picture). When the air and the oils meet at the top of the tubes, the air breaks up the oils (circled in red) into tiny essential oil molecules. Then the air continues to carry the oils up the neck of the glass and out! The tiny molecules of essential oils linger in the air for hours. Once the oil droplets leave the glass and are in the air, they cleanse it, and provide therapeutic benefits to those who breathe them in.
There is no water to weigh the molecules down.
There is no heat to take away the therapeutic qualities of the oils.
Nebulizing diffusers are cold air diffusers, designed to break oils up into a micro-fine mist that remains in the air for several hours. To optimize the benefits and length of therapeutic results, the oils should linger in the air as long as possible.
Many essential oils are highly antibacterial and are extremely effective in eliminating and destroying airborne germs and bacteria. Diffused oils increase oxygen flow, produce ions, and release natural ozone. They change the structure of odorous molecules, not just masking them.
DIFFUSING ESSENTIAL OILS
Why? Research shows that cold air diffusing certain oils can: Reduce bacteria, fungus, mold, and unpleasant odors; relax the body, relieve tension; improve concentration, alertness, and mental clarity; stimulate neurotransmitters; improve body functions and balance; relieve headaches, aches and pains; and more!
How? Diffused oils change the structure of molecules rather than just masking them. They increase oxygen flow, produce ions, and release natural ozone. Many essential oils are highly antibacterial and are extremely effective for eliminating and destroying airborne germs and bacteria.
No heat? The nebulizing diffusers are cold air diffusers. They are designed to atomize a micro-fine mist of essential oils into the air, where they remain suspended for several hours. Heating oils can render the oil less beneficial therapeutically, and even create toxic compounds. Burned oils may become carcinogenic.
No moisture? A cold air diffuser atomizes without water because when water is vaporized with the essential oils, the molecules become heavy, and sink. To optimize the benefits and length of therapeutic results, the oils should linger in the air as long as possible.
